Challenge ~82~ Nutcrafters

Good Morning

It is my turn to host the challenge at Nutcrafters this fortnight...I have chosen the theme of
"All That Glitters"

I have used some lovely glittered DCWV papers and then used my glamour dust on the necklace and bracelet.

I love this little image as I'm sure all little girls have played dressing up at some time....wonder if my little grand-daughter will want to dress up in Nannie's shoes LOL

Look forward to seeing your creations over HERE

I am one very very proud Nannie....

My little munchkin, had a bit of an infection when she was born so spent the 1st 10 days of her life in hospital, but now she is safely home with her mummy and daddy.  She is so beautiful and such a happy little soul, I love spoiling her already and she has made me very very happy.

Flippin Heck !!!

Oh heck!!! Where did the time go....life seems to have got in the way of my bloggin for a while..lots going off in the Twells household.  Work and no play makes me sad, but I have just changed my hours at work, so longer days followed by a 3 day weekend.. so not all bad...This has just meant I have not really had chance to keep up with blogging and anything else as I am so pooped when I get in at night and well my weekends are just so full of good times.

Anyhoo, I am back now to share with you 2 things...the 1st being my latest DT project for Nutcrafters...
"Anything but a card"

My friend gave me a template she had received in duplicate from Crafter's Companion for a little treat box..perfect timing I thought for this week's challenge...

I have used one of the "Stocking Filler" images and paper pieced the stocking then added lots of glitter to my little snowman....

If this week you have created something other than a card, do come and share with us at Nutcrafters, it would be lovely to see your creations.

Of course we have prizes up for grabs too ....

To see the 2nd thing I would like to share with you, keep watching my posts....

Love and hugs til later

Anniversary Card

Good afternoon from sunny (at the minute) Derbyshire.  Thought i would share a card I made yesterday for my hubby for our Anniversary on 1st September.  We will have been married for 35 years !!! not sure where the time has gone, as with most couples we have had our ups and downs and trials and tribulations but I wouldn't have changed a thing....

Not sure what the embossing folder is called as i bought the embossed card sheets from a cyber friend.  The hearts are one of my new dies from Memory box - it cuts like a dream.  Ribbon from stash - the bow was made using the tattered lace bow-maker - absolutely fab invention...

Right off to see if my washing is dry and then to get the ironing board out !!!

Happy Sunday..

We have the very popular Anything Goes as our theme this week

I used my bowmaker from tattered lace...perfect bows every time !!!

Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Tonic die - Emily

I love this die and use it on quite a few of my cards...but this time to show it off, I have just cut it from some hunkydory card stock...and then some gems and a sentiment and I think quite an elegant card...the bottom of the die looks yellow but actually it is gold..hence the gold-rimmed sentiment....

Stampin up card no. 3

Lovely sentiment on this card...another quick and easy one

Stampin up card no 2

This is such a simple design but one of my favourites....again all goodies supplied by my friend and then this is my design... I'd love to be able to tell you the colours used but I am useless with the fancy names...

I have entered the challenge at Love to Create Challenge

Pretty things...

This is my take on the card I bought as a kit...and I shall be sending it to one of my best friends for her birthday..

Stampin Up...no 1

Loving the colours for this cards my crafty friend gave me the goodies and this is what I made with them...

I shall enter this card into the challenge here at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.

Another kit...

Another bargain card kit...love the idea of this so bought it mainly for the template...soooo pretty and

Happy Birthday...

Lots of layers on this card, bought as a kit a while ago for the bargain price of 50p...I love the colours....blue and brown - one of my favourite combinations

Good afternoon Crafters - we have a little bit of Bingo going off at Nutcrafters - basically pick your row !!! and this will then give you your inspiration for your project.

The layout for my card came from a piccie I saw in a Making Cards magazine and of course the super little girly image is from Nutcrafters.  Coloured with Promarkers, martha stewart punch for the decorative strip...and ribbon from my stash - I loved the idea of the balloon with the string attached and finally a couple of gems (flowers)

Something a bit different

I saw this idea in the Crafter's Companion Inspiration magazine , so after treating myself to a couple of embossing boards (not my usual thing at all !!!) thought I would give it a go...
The Papers are DCWV - baby collection and the flower is using a Martha Stewart Punch (one of my favourites) and Baby sentiment I stamped with a woodware set.

I am going to fill it with some little baby bits as a pressie for my friends daughter.

Nutcrafter's Challenge

Good morning - It is my turn to host the Nutcrafters Challenge and I have chosen a colour theme

"Pink and Brown"
I just love this colour combo, so come on get those promarkers, flexmarkers, copics etc out and share your colouring skills with us at Nutcrafters - of course you don't have to use you colouring pens you could just find some yummy pink and brown papers - oh I am thinking marshmallows and chocolates now.

Now this is one of the new images that the lovely Katie has designed - she has got so many lovely stamps and digis about to be launched and lucky ole me gets to play with them all.

Oh happy bunny !!!

Coloured with my promarkers, DCWV backing papers, organza ribbon and bow, a few pearls and my sentiment is a computer generated one.  Oh yes and a ribbon slide given to me by a lovely friend - well actually she gave me a bag full.

I shall be at work as you read this but I shall be counting down the hours as I am off to Yorkshire for a few days and soooooo looking forward to it.

Until next time - happy crafting

Christmas cards in March ???

Well 1st March and off I went to a Stampin Up Group and what did we make ????

Christmas cards of course!!!!

This Poinsetta stamp has to be one of my favourites and there are so many fab sentiment and verse stamps to choose from - think I spent more time choosing which to use than I did actually stamping....

We stamped the poinsettia twice onto Vellum and then cut them out before sticking them onto the card with sticky buds.  I have embossed mine with white detail embossing powder but some of the other girls used glittery embossing powder which was really effective.

We then used another of my favourite sets - trees

This one was covered in glitter at the end and the inside is just as pretty as the outside

Just thought I would share them with you.

Have to dash as it is daughter's birthday today and I still have some pressies to wrap and cakes to finish.

Enjoy your Tuesday evening

Nutcrafters Challenge for Today

Good Evening followers - here is my DT card for Nutcrafters

I have used Promarkers to colour - backing papers are ones from a shabby chic set I won - swirls from the NEC last year and flowers from a friend :)  The craft ribbon is like cord material and was a bargain from Boyes in Bridlington £1 for a huge roll so I just had to buy 2...one in burgundy and one in a dark grey...finally added some pearly gems

Hope you like and if you fancy joining us with our Ribbon and Bling challenge HERE is the link

Happy Crafting

Final DT card !!!

A very sparkly Christmas card - this is my final DT card for the CRAFT Challenges.  I have loved working with the fab team but after much deliberation I have made the decision to step down.  I have so many projects I want to make and so little spare hours, so for now I am going to concentrate on my long list of projects I have on my desk.

I have coloured the gorgeous image from  Lacy Sunshine Stamps (what fab designs) - Bubbles Ice-Skating with my Promarkers and then added some glamour dust to her headband, and top.  The lovely sparkly ribbon was from a local Craft shop, sentiment and bow from my ever growing stash.

Will end my post with love and hugs to my teamies over at CRAFT Challenges and I wish them all well for the future.  Huge thank you to Jo for having me as one of her team for so long.

A Little Bit of Love

This is the challenge at Nutcrafters this week
"A Little bit of Love"

This gave me the perfect opportunity to use of my favourite Nutcrafters images - just love these 2 cute love birds.

I have used another of my fancy folds cards, some "Sweet Owl" papers and of course out came the promarkers.

Now given that I have had a massive clear out in the craft room and moved lots of things, I was quite surprised that I managed to find everything I was looking for, including the die cut sentiments.

I will be soooo glad once I can come in at night and take piccies in the natural light instead of having to use artificial light....grrrrr

Hope you like my creation and if you fancy joining us at Nutcrafters - well then just do it !!!

We have a great team and lots of inspiration can be found here

Toodles til tomorrow :)

Thought I would share some of the lovely cards we made at our Stampin Up Workshop on Saturday.

We got to use some of the new goodies from the new mini catalogue and we had a great time.

Sue and Elvie always provide us with a light lunch and they work so hard to make our day perfect.

I contributed to lunch this time with a Greek Salad from Slimming World and if I say so myself it was absolutely delicious
We have another craft class on Friday and will be making flowers using lots of punches, really looking forward to that.

Ok well that's all for now...back again soon.
