Creative Craft Challenges DT cards

Well after a major blip over at the challenge blog, we are up and running again...

Sincere apologies for the disappearance of the posts, links, dt works and most of all your beautiful entries...We were so frustrated by the whole thing but hopefully some of the cleverer DT members have sorted it out now and normal service is now resumed.

So what is the challenge ...a very different one this time..make your own backing papers i was a bit daunted by this challenge at 1st but do you know what i loved it and wait til you see the fabby prizes on offer but you will have to go here to check them out!!!!

I have used a superb background stamp from "rainbow studios" lots of lovely flowers and a huge butterfly..the sentiment was a stamp i borrowed from my lovely friend Elke for my 1st card and for the 2nd card I used a digi from "Some Odd Girl" called Snuggles (Tiny Tia) i love her!!! coloured with my promarkers and the backing papers were made using a freebie stamp from craft stamper magazine, and an inkadinkado flourish stamp "thoughts for the day". Flowers were made using my martha stewart punch.

Do hop over and have a look at the lovely work the others have made you really will be inspired.

Look forward to seeing your entries soon

Card Organiser

Saw this idea over here at Elephantastic Challenges

It is not perfect by any means but for my 1st attempt i am quite pleased with it. The image on the front and also the bunting are from the molly bloom collection. Coloured this time with ...no not promarkers... i got my copics out and had a play. The embossed card i got from a demo at Doncaster last Sunday from a lovely lady on the "once upon a stamp stand". They are a new set of folders that cut and emboss at the same time!!! They are called Marianne Designables "Fantasy Flourish"... Me and my friend Elke loved them. The front cover was plain cream cardstock inked with brilliance ink using my inkylicious inkdusters.

Right off to write all the birthdays down in my new organiser

2 x very quick kanban cards

Managed to make 2 more very quick cards from the Kanban set before hubby came in from work.

off now to get ready to go to a friends house and then off out for a meal for his birthday

Sylvia x

last one for today..........................

This card was inspired by a swop going on over at Trimcraft organised by Kim...it's a tag swap . I had bought some tags from inkylicious after seeing a fabby demo at one of the craft shows but never actually got round to using them, so when i saw the swap i decided to dig them out.

I used distress inks to cover the tag and then stamped a superb stamp from crafty individuals CI - 302, then finally added some ribbon and raffia from my stash

The card is for my husbands friend whose birthday it is today, we are off out for a meal with him tonight...talking of which i need to go and do something with my hair...wish my neighbour was a hairdresser!!! lol

Kanban card

This card is from the same Kanban set i made the father's day card from. I have 3 daughters so won't be used by me but i have lots of friends that have sons so may just make a sale with this one!!!

I made 2 slits on the crease of the card to feed the ribbon through but other than that a very simple card

Father's Day

This is the card i made for my youngest daughter to give to her Dad. I bought the Kanban set from peartree yard last week after i had been to the chiropractors. Shame that.. I have to walk through the craft shop to get to her and then back again and unfortunately temptation was in the way lol

Only thing i have added is some super wide gross grain ribbon and a few stick on stones (i bought these on a whim and had no idea what i was going to do with them...now i use them all the time..i have blue ones too)

going to be entering the following challenges with this one

and now for something different!!!

well different for me anyway...

I was lucky enough to go to the stamp magic show at Doncaster on Sunday and whilst there i was amazed by the work of Barbara from Clarity Stamps and also a lovely girl from Lavinia stamps.

So i started this card at craft club on Tuesday and as hubby has vanished down to Reading for a few days i decided this evening to have play.

The coated card is from clarity stamps, the main image is from crafty individuals and the stamp up the sides is one i borrowed from my friend Elke...I used some liquid pearls to highlight some of the flowers and then sprinkled with glamour dust (as demoed by Lavinia stamps) and finally craftwork cards sentiment.

Top Tip Tuesday
have an open challenge so have popped this one on their challenge blog

Hopefully will get to play with some more of my goodies including the most fantastic stamp but not going to tell you about that just yet lol..

See you all soon and Mr Blogger if you're reading this ...BEHAVE!!!!

Oh how i love these super duper digi images from "some odd girl" this one is "Snuggles...tiny tia"

This card is on it's way to my friends grand-daughter she is just the cutest bundle of cheekiness you have ever seen and i love to give her a snuggle and a hug.

Moveable Parts !!!

!!!! what i hear you ask is she blogging about...

The challenge this time over at Creative Craft Challenges is to make a project (doesn't have to be a card) with a Moveable Part on it....Now there's something different for you to think about!!!

I got to use a fab digi from Floppe Latte so using an aperture card decorated with some punched flowers from some of my favourite papers from DCWV I came up with this idea, you can't see from the rubbish photo but i have used a tri-fold card and i have covered the inside with lovely DCWV sparkly glittery papers.

Please pop over at have a look at the fab prizes we have up for grabs this time...NO i am not going to tell you what they are you have to go and have a nosey at the challenge blog..but i promise you won't be disappointed. Do join in the fun, and get your thinking caps on for our great challenge

See you all soon and hope you have a great Tuesday

Love and hugs
