I shall be on a train going to Birmingham whilst you are reading this...I am off to the Good Food and Drink Show at the NEC and then afterwards we are going to the Birmingham Christmas Market...

I have decided this will be hubby's birthday card (not til Feb but then nothing wrong with being ahead of matters lol) !!!

Gift Bag or Box

Good morning followers

Our challenge this week over at CRAFT Challenges is to make a Gift Bag or Box - well I was a bit of a rebel as I had just bought these lovely handbag shaped card blanks.  I have covered it with some fab papers from Stitchy Bear "Christmas Lights" which I printed onto gold shimmer card.

Such a shame you can't see just how much this card stock glimmers through the lovely santa papers.

 I have decoupaged one of the santa's, added some tags (which came with the card blanks) some lovely ribbon and  a couple of snowflakes...

Dark when i go to work and darker still by the time i get home

but anyway less moaning Sylv  - here is my card for the challenge over at Nutcrafters and our Gemma wanted us to work from the recipe above.  I have used a lovely image from the new Nutcrafter range (coloured with my flexmarkers and promarkers) 2 free backing papers and finally added 3 embellishments - mittens - jewellery wire and a star...I love adding stars to cards....

coloured with my promarkers and dusted off my poinsetta die which is one of my all-time favourites

This week at CRAFT Challenges we have a recipe for you all

Here is my card using a lovely image from Bugaboo called Peeker Numbers (2)

I used a fab spellbinders die

some lovely papers from DCWV (nursery)

and some flower ribbon for my embellishments

coloured with my promarkers and finally a little bit of glitter on her hair bows and the cupcake.

Christmas time again

Yippee it's Friday  !!!!

This little elf is called Candy Elf and he is from A Day for Daisies - I coloured him with my promarkers and surrounded him with holly and snowflakes.

Lots of Layers

Hello bloggers from a wet miserable Derbyshire :(

The theme this week at Nutcrafters is "Lots of Layers" and it is Jo's turn to host, so without further ado here is my card using a lovely digi/stamp.

Coloured with my flexmarkers and Promarkers - papers are freebies from a mag - including the bow and butterfly which i have glazed.

I used my new punch from Stampin Up for the sentiment and then inked the edges of everything with a SU inkpad to give a bit of a shabby chic feel to my card.

Good morning Crafters

Lovely Autumnal morning today- lovely sunshine but with a bit of a chill in the air

So the challenge over at CRAFT Challenges this week is just perfect

Autumn/Halloween

Well Autumn has arrived and Halloween is just around the corner.

I have used an image from Hope Jacare called "Birds and Bugs" coloured with my Promarkers as usual.  DPs are from a fab pad I bought ages ago at the NEC and the swirl and butterfly I have inked with my Stampin Up ink spots.

My friend Anne and I had a fab day yesterday at a Stampin Up Workshop organised by 2 super friends Sue and Elvie.

Not only do they provide all the goodies for the day they fill us full of lovely homemade food and cakes.

Late evening post from me today as I have been very busy packing and trying to get organised before whizzing off to Cornwall for a few days.  My niece got married in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and so this weekend she is having a blessing followed by a party in Newquay.  I am so looking forward to seeing them all.

Li'l Pirate

Good morning followers

Here is my DT card for CRAFT Challenges and this week we have a colour combo of blues and browns although looking at this it is more a greeny/blue colour way. Anyhoo we would love to see your interpretation of the colours.

 I have used my flexmarkers and promarkers for this image from Kenny K called Li'l Pirate and i know just the person who will love this card - I'm quite pleased with my shading and blending too (for a change) lol

Nutcrafters - favourite colour combo

Good morning and Happy Wednesday

Nutcrafters have a great challenge theme this time - favourite colour combo, this is definitely one of mine  - lilac and green, i just think it is so fresh and clean looking

This is one of the new stamps available and i love it- so easy to colour with my promarkers too, I even managed to find a little elephant charm to add to the finishing touches.
