Sitting waiting

I love ths image and thought it was about time i used it on one of my cards.

I have used Jack n'Jill backing papers from prima, a sentiment tag from kanban, paper lace from lakeland and ribbon and gems from my stash.

I am going to enter the card into this challenge from A Gem of a Challenge. Ribbons and lace is the theme. so think this one is just right!!

Black and white for a change!

I decided not to do 2 things on this card...use colour....use a stamped image...i followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

As you probably know by now i have learnt how to link my projects so what beter way to practise than to enter some challenges. So this is my entry to the Friday Sketcher challenge..wish me luck!!!

Goodie Bag cards...

These are the two cards i made using "goodie bags" as provided by Tracy at our craft group on Tuesday.

the idea is that you provide each member of the craft club with a bag of goodies...ie blank card, backing papers, sentiment, ribbons and gems or buttons and usually an image too. We all get the same and then we need to see what we come up with.. one of the rules is that we are not allowed to add anything to the pack!!! however i cheated when i got home and added the green sparkly gems to the white poinsettas...shock horror gasp!!! lol I was a good girl with the other one though and added nothing from my stash!!

We love doing these goodie bags...hope you like the results

LOTV cards

I just love these new LOTV stamps "tea and chat". I followed the layouts from "simply cards and papercraft". The backing papers are freebies from one of the mags from "wild rose studio candy floss paper stack". I just loved the lovely fresh colours..

I am going over to my friend's house this afternoon and she is going to give me a lesson in blogging!!! so hopefully i will then be able to link my piccies properly and even join in some challenges...well that's the plan. She makes the most fantastic cards and has now started to try her hand at jewellery making and she's brill at that too...go take a look here at her work and you will see what i mean.

Off out to walk the dogs now before going off to Sandra's..

following on from my lesson with Sandra i can confirm i have entered this challenge "Passion for promarkers" and as you will soon see it is one of my favourite places to visit.....

I also found this lovely challenge blog called cupcake crafts challenges...they have some fabby prizes and the theme is food for thought...hence the reason for entering this card..yummy cupcakes....and the final challenge entry will be for Top Tip Tuesday which is a brill blog with challenges AND tips. this challenge is to create something with flowers on...so guess these both fit the bill.

don't think there will be any stopping me now!!!

Graduation day 22.01.2011

Well what a fantastic day we all had.....

It was my youngest daughter's graduation day yesterday and we had the most amazing day. We are so proud of her and her sister's too.

Sorted !!!

at last i think i have finally sorted out my blog, for those of you that offered advice, listened to my daft questions and understood them...huge massive thanks.

Won't be around now for a couple of days as tomorrow is the big day for my youngest daughter...she is graduating from uni....I am one proud mum.

Will take lots of piccies and then post them on here for you to have a nosey at.

more piccies of mum's birthday card

mum's birthday card...something different!!!

thought i would make something a bit different for my mum's birthday card.. a little handbag card.

the actual handbag was cut from a die using the new huge die-cutting machine they had at Little Eaton craft central a few months ago. I found the handbag under a pile of papers yesterday so deided it was about time i used it!!! So i have added some lovely prima flowers with pearl heart shaped gems, a sentiment strip from craftwork cards, a pretty pull-up bow from the ribbon-box and finally some die cut tags i bought from the sincerely yours craft show at Hinkley on Sunday.

Hubby's birthday card!!

Thought you might like to have a nosey at hubby's birthday card. I am playing around with clarity and lavinia stamps, brayering and using inkdusters....well it's nice to try something different sometimes isn't it.

I love the technique but need more practise i think...but then barbara daly was a beginner once wasn't she...

Hopefully this is going to work, but as you may know i have had a few blog problems to say the least...Still not completely solved but thought i would try and put up a new post as a starter and see how things are!!!

Made this after seeing a demo on youtube by Monica.

I have used
** papermania honey and hugs backing papers
** inkadinkado swirly flower stamp/border stamp
** papermania honey and hugs "just to say" stamp
** stampin up "thank you" stamp
and finally some ribbon from my stash and a papermania pink flower

Hope you like it...I relly enjoyed making it

My friend asked me to make her a card for her friend's 70th birthday and as she loves flowers this is what i came up with... hope you like it!!

Happy New Year to you all.

Hope you have all had a good time during the festive season.

I am really really really going to try and post on my blog at least once a week!!!! that way i figure i will learn how to do "blogging" and learn to link things from here to there and there to here!!! Are you still with me....

Ok so the 1st link i want to share with you all is to this place here.

I am a member of the DT here and we have some fantastic challenges for the year ahead with fabby dabby prizes for the winners. Usually i have my project up for inspiration to you all but as i have only just come back from Cornwall i didn't find the time. Look out for next times though as i have made a card with real "attitude"...lol it's for my eldest's birthday!!!

Right i am off to drink my coffee and then i am going to nip to Tesco's as i forgot to order kitchen foil last night!!!
