CRAFT Challenge - Background Text

Hello followers old and new...have you all had a really good Thursday???

I have been at work today and boy was it busy but then that's just how i like it !!!

Now then over at CRAFT Challenges this week we would like you to get out those stamps or papers and create a project using text...what a great challenge and i got to use a great digi from Saturated Canary.

 I love her sticking her tongue out - cheeky minx!!!

I used some freebie txt paper and some kanban card to make my card with and of course out came the promarkers!!!

Something special

Right i can finally show you what i made for my best friend Elke for her 50th birthday instead of a card....It was something i saw in the Craft Stamper Magazine it is a year book and the idea is that you make 12 pockets - 1 for each of the months of the year.  My thinking was that Elke would add photos and pictures and souvenirs from her special year of being half a century old !!!! lol she'll love me for saying that won't she????

Hope you won't get bored with all the piccies but thought i could show you in its entiritiy (good grief have a spelt that right) lol

New Beginnings...

Good morning to you all, hope you are all well and that the sunshine is still with you.

Well we had a wonderful time in the lake district for my birthday but then reality hit me and trundled back to work.

Over at Nutcrafters this time I had the chance to do the post for the challenge..ooooh eeeee...it's one thing hosting your own blog but quite another hosting it for the challenges!!!  Huge thanks to Gemma for helping me out towards the end.  thanks hun..x

The challenge as set by yours truly is "New Beginnings" so we would love to see your projects following this theme.  I was thinking of new home, new baby, wedding, engagement or in my case new school.  Do join us this time as i hope you will like the challenge i came up with.

The papers I have used were freebies and the image is one of the newer digis from Nutcrafters and i just think she is oh so cute with her bunches in and all set for her new school.  Coloured with my promarkers and the sketch I followed is from one over at trimcraft as set by the lovely Janet (my cornish pixie friend).

A very quick and simple card from me this week for our challenge at CRAFT challenges.  The theme is a recipe

now my glitter was already on the backing paper so for once i wasn't all sparkly when i went out.  I shall hopefully be all chilled out and relaxed whilst you are reading this as i will have had 3 days in the Lake District for my birthday treat from hubby....

Gem's Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon followers- still a bit chilly  here in Derbyshire today.  I saw this challenge over at A Gem of a challenge so set about making this little card. Backing papers are from the lovely Flair Designs (baby boy pack), bit of inking around the die cut circles to link it all together, an epoxy sticker and some card candi and "voila" there it is all done.  Oh nearly forgot the image is of course a little gem one - oh so cute!!!

Right off to walk the dogs before the rain arrives and then must get ready as we are going out this evening to a magic show and providing my darling hubby doesn't have me sawn in two i shall be whizzing up to the Lakes tomorrow for a few days to celebrate my birthday.  So next time i "see" you i shall be a year older - maybe not wiser but definitely older.

Poodles challenge..Monochromatic

Hello followers and thanking you for passing by - thank crunchie it's Friday as the saying goes... Now this weeks challenge over at Poodles Parlour is "Monochromatic" how about that for a fancy word on a Friday morning. I have done a bit of paper piecing using my new goodies from the Do crafts capsule collection, the super cute image is a Poodles one and just right for this type of technique. Easel Card Challenge

Well hello there to you all...did you all enjoy the blog hop last week??? I do hope so, it was the 1st time i have ever been this side of a blog hop and it was a bit nerve-racking to say the least. Now this week at CRAFT Challenges our theme is "Easel Cards" now these are my favourite type of card to make and this week i chose a Bugaboo Image "BooPeeker - Carriage). I love lilac baby cards and thought the buttons were just perfect on the little pram...

3 x Designer papers -

Hello followers...is it still raining - i need some sunshine!!!! Anywhoo over at Nutcrafters this week our challenge is to use 3 designer papers...i just loved this challenge and i did enjoy using this pretty little image which i have had for a while. Coloured with my promarkers and my papers were all freebies from a swap i did over at Trimcraft. Only other thing i did was to add some of my new card-candi and a sentiment. Better late than never....

Good afternoon to you all are you enjoying your bank holiday weekend, I certainly am. It started with a meet up with my friend Elke for breakfast which we do every Saturday morning, a quick visit to the craft shop and then after cleaning the bathroom and doing a bit of washing i have been crafting...just perfect. I promised to show you all the "AFTER" pictures of my decopatched drawers and here they are...I love them and as my craft room is black and cream they are just perfect and now full of my sentiments ( I have lots and lots)

Well what do you think??? I recommend having a go at this decopatch ...its brill!!! Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend, I am going out with hubby, eldest daughter, daughters partner and his son for the day in Derbyshire tomorrow and really really looking foward to it.. Sylvia xx

Buttons....

Good morning followers and yet another scheduled post as i shall be sat at my desk beavering away whilst you are reading this post. This week at CRAFT Challenges we have a super challenge for you...get your buttons out!!!! We want to see your lovely projects with all those yummy buttons on. Here is my DT card and i have used a digi (sooooooooooooooooooo cute) from Digi Doodle Shop
