Goodie bag

Over at trimcraft we do lots of different swops and one of them this month was a goodie bag but with a twist. This month "Christa" hosted it and she asked us to make a card with the goodies we sent to our swap partner, send it off to them sealed and then they could only open it once they had made their card.

Well my lovely goodies arrived from Lynn, browns and pinks (one of my favourites) and a lovely stamped image, however when i came to colour the image in it bled !!! so i swapped the image for one of mine. This is the card i made with the goodies and if you would like to see the card Lynn made just pop over to the trimmie site and have a peep

messy and bright

Creative Craft Challenges...our theme this fortnight is re-cycling so i decided on a beautiful sunny bank holiday Monday to have a play....a messy play

Out came the distress inks, some cut n dry foam and lots of baby wipes

I have re-cycled a very old dictionary i bought from a national trust place in the lake district...the original price was 1/6d...i think it means 1 shilling and 6 pence but i was very very young when this sort of money was around so not too sure!!!

Well i did have fun but not too sure how my inky fingers will look tomorrow at work!!!

Please have a look at what the other DT members have made...they are such a clever lot and they have come up with some fantastic ideas..one of them even includes a pair of jeans!!!!

As this card is so "bright" it just has to be entered into the challenge over at peartree...colourful

Ok...now i have to cross my fingers that i have scheduled this right so it pops up at just the right time

lovely sunny card

I saw this main backing paper this morning and knew i had to use it today as it is such a sunny day. Over at trimcraft..Sandra has a colour challenge going on and the colours this month are pink and yellow...well this card is mainly pink and yellow so i have entered the challenge with it...Think i shall save it for my niece's birthday.

The sentiment is a craftwork cards one, brads from stash, smaller backing papers are a gift from Lou and please note i have used my sewing machine!!!! just to edge the edges...don't be looking too closely though folks it was a practise piece!!!!!! the image was a freebie from one of the mags recently..i love their lovely cheeky faces.

I will enter this into peartree designs challenge...colourful and obviously sketch Saturday as that is the sketch i have followed.

I am on a roll..i have made 2 more of these little note holders, completely different styles this time...have to say my favourite up til now is the black and white one

Hopefully these will make good little sellers when i do a craft fayre later in the year...ok off out into the sunshine to make more phone charms

Charming!!!

Good afternoon followers..hope you are all enjoying the sunshine...(assuming you have some)), it is a beautiful sunny day here in Derbyshire.

At the craft group last week we changed the theme to jewellery making !!! not really my thing but i do have a few bits and what i don't have the lovely girls do and they share...good girls they are.

well i decided to make a few phone charms (2nd picture) not brill but not bad either for my 1st attempt. Well when i got in i thought i would just pop on the the internet and see if i could find any inspirtation ...hence the 1st picture...what a difference i am really quite proud of them too. I am going to sit in the garden later and make some more but with different coloured beads.

Thought i may as well enter theminto Lexi's Creations ...anything but a card


Oh no just thought hope i don't get into the jewellery making or else i will definitely have to have a bigger craft room...mmmm wonder when the little one is moving out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notes for You!!

I 1st saw this idea in a craft stamper magazine and i fell in love with it!! I started it at the craft group on Tuesday and then i have sat in the garden this afternoon and finished it off. It was was lovely to make, yes there were some fiddly bits but most of it was straight forward..These are the things i used to complete it

** costco backing papers
**cardboard from back of a notepad
** water lily martha stewart punch
**laura ashley brads (others were from my stash)
**nesties labels eight
**nesties grommet tags
**swirly stamp (not sure which make)

Right off to make another one while the sun is still shining and before hubby comes in wanting his dinner!!

Another bag

This is the 2nd bag i made at craft club on Tuesday and i have finally got to finish it off. This one isn't a girly girly one so thought it was ideal as a "thank you" bag.

Right i am off now to play!!!

What with i hear you say????

My new toy!!!

Yes but what is it???

a little sewing machine, i can't sew for toffee but thought i would get one of these little machines and see if i could use it to put some stitching on my cards. Loads of you in blogland use stitches and i love the effect you get.

and as the sun is shining i am going to go and get the extension lead and play in the garden in the sunshine.

Watch this space for a card or alternative a sewing machine for sale LOL !!!!

Look what i made!!!

I love these papers...they were from costco and are all double-sided so perfect for making this little bag.

We were all a bit naughty and came out with a few choice words whilst trying to get the folds right but once you have made one they really are quite easy.

I have partially made another one but not had chance to finish it yet..maybe later this evening after i have been to pilates or at the weekend

Embossing Challenge

Good morning to you all...

Over at Creative craft challenges the theme this time is "Embossing"

I made 2 DT cards, the 1st was with the stash from "Sandra's" goodie bags which we did at the craft group. The image is heat embossed in a lovely pearly pink colour

i shall enter this one for the top tip tuesday challenge "spring is here" and the crafty pad ...spring is in the air

The 2nd card is one i made sat in the sunshine at the weekend, the image is from one of our sponsors "Doodle Dragon Studies", the backing paper was already embossed and i have embossed the die cut shape and also the message tag. I used my new spellbinders "grommet tags" and i love them so expect to see them on some of my new projects lol. For once i didn't colour using promarkers i used some marvy pens and a water brush...think i need more practise though!!! will enter it into the following challenge though a spoon full of sugar...all creatures great and small

I shall finally enter them into truly dimensional theme over at papertake weekly...they both have lots of layers on them so hope this counts!!!
