Craft Challenge - one for the men...

Hello fellow crafters...yippee doodle dandy it's Friday...I have the whole weekend to myself so I am going to go get my housework done, cook dinner and plan a very crafty weekend.

Now here is my card for the challenge over at CRAFT - the theme is definitely one for the boys...we would like to see a father's day card or a card for the male in your life......

I used a great digi from My Heart Pieces called the school boy and I love him and his goggles - bless him....

Last week I went to Honeypot Crafts for a promarker workshop and not only did I make some lovely new friends I also had a great time producing this !!!!

I completed 3 projects but this one is is my favourite and has definitely given me confidence to use my promarkers more.

So huge thanks to Phil for being a great tutor...can't wait for next month !!!

Back from my hols !!!

Hello followers

Well I am back from my little holiday in Yorkshire - we had sunshine too!!!  A birthday treat from hubby, it was so nice to spend time walking along the beach and basically just chilling.

Got back home and realised I had not scheduled my CRAFT challenges post...this week we have a colour combo - browns, blues and some orange - pop over to the challenge page here and you will see what my lovely team-mates have made....

Here is the card I made using a delightful digi from QKR Stampede (I am a real fan of these digis) and this one is is called all tied up.

I have coloured him using my promarkers and the backing papers are some I printed off a cd awhile ago so no idea which one as I have quite a selection now....I also went for the wonky look  lol

Ok this is the 1st of many posts today so off to sort the next one out...don't forget to come and join us at CRAFT Challenges

Christmas in May

Well it is over at CRAFT challenges this week....did you join in our blog hop ????  The winners have yet to be announced so keep your fingers crossed it could be you !!!

  Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 4 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4^th of May 2009.

  
  

  We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with lots of Guest Designers who join us for a month at a time.

CRAFT Challenge card

The challenge this week at CRAFT Challenges is......

A Stitch in Time/Use Stitching

So, anything bearing the above in mind will qualify. We can't wait to see what you come up with. 

So here is what I have done, a lovely little slider card, i love making these are they are so easy to make and this one is even suitable for a male so even better cos as you know I am not a fan of making male cards.

As you can see I didn't use a digi but I did choose some lovely papers (perfect for the men in our lives) from a pack designed by Jo.  My stitches aren't real they are rub-ons and for those of you like me that struggle with rub-ons I have a great tip...use a glitter girl embossing tool..perfect...

So what did I make ????

a lovely little card inspired by a SU demonstrator last week...plain and simple but lovely just the same

 I coloured my image with promarkers and for the 1st time ever I have "shiny hair"...I am thrilled.  Hopefully my colouring skills will improve after my promarker class in a couple of weeks time....

Good afternoon crafters

and a huge welcome to my blog - I thought I would share some cards I made last night, made mainly with SU products.  I got to use one of my favourite punches and stamp sets again....

Here is the 1st one inspired by a sketch

the 2nd one I just love the colour ways on this one - I have messed up with this one as I cut around the flowers and I shouldn't have - hey ho..

and the final one which is the one using my favourite punch and stamp set is....

I had a great creative evening and am quite proud of my efforts

Have a good evening I am just waiting for my daughter and her partner to turn up for dinner

Queen for a day .....

Oh heck, not a job I would enjoy I don't think there would be much time for crafting !!!!  And Phillip would get cross with me when the corgis got covered in glitter !!!!

Now this is our challenge over at CRAFT and you may interpret as you will..I used a digi image from Sassy Studios.  I love the image but not my colouring as for the 1st time I have used Neenah card and I am not impressed....

Do any of you know about such things, what have I done wrong as the colour just seems to have spread but not really blended!!!  I have used flexmarkers and promarkers and then for a change I decided to use plain card for the backing instead of patterned....

This is a scheduled post so have to dash as I am meeting a friend for coffee (no cake though).

CRAFT Challenge -

Good evening

I'd love to say thank crunchie it's Friday but I am working over-time tomorrow, but then am going out for a late lunch with my very good friend Michelle. so not all bad !!!

Right CRAFT challenge theme this week is recycled so we would like you to use something on your project that has been re-cycled.  I used some string that was tied around a pressie that my eldest daughter bought me a while ago.  I have also used a butterfly that was on a bookmark a friend made for me, the only reason I took it off was because i kept catching it on my book and was worried I would rip it.  The image is from Doodle Dragon's and I think it is so funny.  The sentiment stamp and punch are from Stampin up and if you look closely I have whizzed around the edges of my yellow cardstock with a tracing wheel to make little pinpricks....

Craft Challenge............

Good morning followers

Is it really Thursday already...????????

Thank you to everyone that entered last weeks challenge over at CRAFT challenges, it is so nice to go blog hopping to look at all your great works of art....

Well this week the challenge is "Mother's Day or make a female card"

I got to use a lovely digi from Bugaboo and it was a doddle to colour with my promarkers and flexmarkers.  The backing papers are some freebies from a mag, swirl, butterfly, bow and card-candi all from my vast stash...lol

Hope the snow has gone from wherever you are, I for one will be glad to see the back of it as I hate being cold!!!

Right off to work I go before my 4 day weekend ....woo hoooo
