Anything but a card....

Good morning followers

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day full of good things

Over at CRAFT Challenges we have the theme of "Anything but a Card"  thank goodness for that i thought.  I have made nothing but Christmas cards in the last few weeks and have promised myself that I will make 10 Christmas cards a month next year...that way I will not have a mad dash to get them all done in December.  Feel free to remind me of my promise at anytime during 2013:)

Right well amongst others one of the sponsors this week is Pink Gems and I just fell in love with this oh so cute gingerbread man.  This is one of the pre-coloured ones but they also have one you can colour to fit in with your own colour scheme.  I had a quick jump into Pinterest to get a bit of inspiration for my tags and especially love the one i made using Craft card...i do love this stuff.

Now just in case you think I have done a vanishing act for the next few days, I haven't but me and hubby are off to spend the New Year in the Lake District.  Peace and quiet in a lovely cottage surrounded by woods and our neighbours are deer, owls and woodpeckers.  No crafting for me but i will have my cross-stitch with me.

Happy New Year to you all

Very happy today

I have just done a craft fayre (which i nearly didn't do) and made a very nice little sum of money.  Isn't it funny how the things i thought wouldn't sell well DID and the things i most expected to sell DIDN'T.  Need to re-stock now though as came home with 2 empty boxes!!!!!!

Not tonight though as I am off to party....enjoy your weekend

Coloured with my promarkers, papers were more freebies and the poinsetta is a die-cut.
Do come and join us at CRAFT challenges as we have some great prizes up for grabs.

Good morning

From me to you a very good morning.  Scheduled post as i will at work by now, wishing i was at home crafting.  I would love to win the lottery just so i can sit at home and craft all day long!!!  ok stop this daydreaming lol...

Over at Nutcrafters this time, Katie has come up with the challenge of Christmas Presents now you can interpret this anyway you want, so you could make a Christmas present or a bag (like mine) to put the present in or even use an image with a Christmas present on.  Whatever you make do come and share with us and you could be one of our winners!!!

Here is my project, using a Nutcrafters digi image - coloured with my trusty promarkers and a sprinkling of glamour dust.  I have added a little metal stocking charm, some washi tape and the paper is from a stunning pack i have just bought from trimcraft.

Quick thank you to Elke for helping me create the little bag...

Sorry

So sorry for being absent for such a long time but as most of you will know, my SIL lost her battle with cancer and last week was her funeral in Cornwall.

I have not been in the mood for crafting (or anything else for that matter) at all, but  now my mojo has returned and we are all a bit more settled I got out this super digi from  My Heart Pieces.  Coloured her with my promarkers and used some of my stampin up goodies for the rest.

The card is my DT one for the challenge over at CRAFT and the theme is inspired by a film - my film is "Mannequin" and the image is "Playing with Threads"which i love.

Do come an join us this week as yet again we have prizes from our delighful sponsors...

See you all again real soon..

This is my DT card for CRAFT Challenges this week and the theme was "Use Metal" so as you can see I have used a little metal pram.  The image is a Meljens one (one of the many fab sponsors this week), coloured with my promarkers.  A real snuggly baby me thinks...

I've been sewing!!!!

Never thought i would say that but I have!!!!  I bought this lovely little kit from a super lady in the lake district last year.  She sells the kits in jam jars and provides you with everything to make this little owl.  So as a de-stress project i made it up last week when i was away in Cornwall.

Here is the link if you want to have a nosey and if she is holding a craft fayre near you do pop along as she sells the most beautiful items...

Now I need some scraps of material to make some more...

I have some other projects to show you later too...

Anyway i digress...the challenge at CRAFT this week is make your own embellishments and I chose to make a bauble for my card...Kraft cardstock, embossing powder, a snowflake stamp and some glitter and hey presto a little bauble for my card.

Do come and join us this week and show us your embellishments - the girls have some fab ideas so don't forget to check out the challenge page

Oh Where Oh Where Have I Been????

Good morning followers.  I am so sorry to have neglected my blog but family life has gotten in the way of my crafting.  Now where to begin - well my lovely SIL has been ill recently, but 2 weeks ago we helped her and her hubby to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary.  We all had a fantastic day and one we will not forget in a hurry.  However, only a few days later we received the devastating news that  "Mr Horrid" has come back but unfortunately there is nothing the doctors can do this time other than make her comfortable and keep her as pain free as possible.  As you can imagine we are all very distraught at this news.

That was the 1st thing, next my computer decided to throw a wobble and so no internet access for nearly a week (not on my priority list at the moment though) which of course means no posting on my blog and no showcasing my DT work...well there was none to show - last thing i could be bothered with was crafting!!!

Next - I have been in hospital to have a fractured tooth removed - plain and simple..no not in my case as they had to remove part of my jaw and I have quite bad tissue damage to the inside of my mouth and bottom lip.  The tooth hasn't given me any problems which is more than can be said for my very swollen lip...OUCH!!!

Well this morning (I have had to have a couple of days off to allow the swelling to go down) I decided to get on and complete some orders.  (Mainly wedding)..Well here is the 1st one....

and this one is the thank you card to go with it

My craftroom looks like a bomb has dropped on it so off to tidy up a little before getting on with my DT work..

Enjoy your day, me I shall not be stepping foot out of the door anytime soon as the rain is coming down in torrents and even the dogs won't thank me for taking them out in this!!!
