The lovely pink paper was from a swop over at Trimcraft by my lovely friend Tracy (yes the one with the pink leg) lol, i then added some card candy and some faux stitching and a doilly i bought a while ago, lost and then found...lol

Forever friends...65th

I made this card yesterday (1st crafting i have had chance to do since i came back off my hols)!!!!

It is for my very good friend's hubby...he will be 65 tomorrow, and honestly he looks about 45!!! sickening isn't it but he is a lovely lovely man. I made him a jolly card cos he is a very young 65 and nothing like a pensioner at all...lol

I shall enter this one into the Charisma Cardz Challenges...boy oh boy

Better late than never!!!

I had a bumper session at craft group last time i went (think it was because i knew that i wouldn't be doing any crafting for a while).

I had bought some of the new Tulip range from docrafts last time i was at the craft shop in little eaton...i love this new range with the lovely pastel colours, so just had to have a play!!!

I'm Back .....

Hello followers, well i have now returned from a fantastic trip to Italy. My super duper hubby treated me to a trip to Venice for my 50th birthday pressie.

We had the most fantastic time and the weather was perfect, a little too hot at times but always a nice breeze to cool us down.

Venice is my favourite place in the whole world, St Marks's Square is just magical with the street traders selling their dodgy bags and purses to the 30 piece orchestra strumming their stuff whilst you drink your coffee. I love it!! To finish off my perfect day, we went on a magical ride on a gondola through the narrow waterways....fantastic!!!

DT challenge card

Hello followers ...hopefully as you are reading this (if Mr Blogger hasn't had a hissy fit again) I shall be in Italy, lying on a beach with my darling hubby and i shall be the grande old age of 50 !!!!

So i have scheduled this post and shall be holding my breath and hoping it works...oh well here goes.............

Over at creative craft challenges the theme is blue brown and cream ... great gave me chance to make a card for my very good friend's son.

One of our sponsors is "Stamping Dragons Design and i was so lucky to be able to use one of their fab digis...i just love him and his guitar.. If you pop over you will see some of the other digis being used by the girls on the DT.

We also have a fantastic new sponsor this time Crafts and Me



one of our lucky winners will receive the most super duper stamp called "Refresh" which is from their own range by Sara Burrier. You will love it so off you go and have a nosey, enter our challenge and in 2 weeks time you could be the proud owner of this stunning stamp.

Josh's Birthday card

It is my friends'sons birthday in June and he will be a teenager!!!! Boy do i remember those days with my girls..my eldest changed from a lovely blue-eyed angel into the devil overnight, other 2 weren't as bad lol

I'm not very good at making male cards but i actualy quite like this one, hoping he will too.

DT challenge card

Good morning followers

Here are the piccies (eventually) of my DT card for Creative craft challenges...the lovely digi boot and sentiment are both from our fabby sponsor "Doodle Pantry digis".

Not one of my best cards as it is vintage and never really done a vintage before and the piccies make it look like the colours don't match!!! but in real life they do!!! and no matter what angle i took the photos i just couldn't get it right!!!

So need more practise in making vintage and taking piccies!!!

girls just wanna have fun...

I was inspired to make this card when i saw what the challenge was over at I love promarkers...song title.

I have no idea where i had this image from may have been a swop but it was perfect for the challenge and also because my daughter wants a card for one of her giffriends...sure she will love the girlie colours. Used some of my lovely prima flowers and obviously coloured with my promarkers (not that there was much colouring to be done!!)

Only a quick post today as i have to go and walk the dogs now before getting ready for a night out with my very special friends Sandra and Elke and their hubbys..we are going to go and see another friends hubby perform at a "gig" locally. last one for today...

Here it is the last card i made today, if you have read my previous few posts you will know that i have had a blitz on my craft room and yes... i came across some goodies i had forgotten about!!! I bought them from the stamp magic show at doncaster last year, they are embossed frames and i loved them but ooops forgot i had them.

I had this beautiful digi image from bugaboo digis already coloured with my promarkers so i coloured the embossed frame using the same colours and i am really pleased with how it has turned out..so glad i got 6 in a pack as i have loads of images i want to use with them now!!!

I shall enter this one into a few challenges..you never know one day i may win..i love the challenges and the inspiration they give me so not really bothered about the winning ...it gets my creative fingers and brain cells working lol

Bank holiday craft session 1

Hello followers, i do hope you have all had a wonderful bank holiday weekend and the sun has shone for you. Here in Derbyshire it has been a really sunny weekend but the winds!!!! they certainly blow the cobwebs away!!!

I had a blitz this morning on the craft room as it was a bit untidy to say the least...forgotten what my craft desk looked like!!! so after a lovely tidy up (and i cleaned the windows and polished) I had a good old craft session .........

Found a freebie over at the creative cottage..for the boys.... so that was it i decided to make some male cards. Do go have a look at this great blog, they have the most yummie digi sets..you won't be disappointed

This is the 1st of 3...so hope you won't be too bored, i decoupaged the cake and this one will be bound for Spain for my friend's hubby...i love the fresh colours!!!

Goodie bag

Over at trimcraft we do lots of different swops and one of them this month was a goodie bag but with a twist. This month "Christa" hosted it and she asked us to make a card with the goodies we sent to our swap partner, send it off to them sealed and then they could only open it once they had made their card.

Well my lovely goodies arrived from Lynn, browns and pinks (one of my favourites) and a lovely stamped image, however when i came to colour the image in it bled !!! so i swapped the image for one of mine. This is the card i made with the goodies and if you would like to see the card Lynn made just pop over to the trimmie site and have a peep

I am entering this card in the promarkers challenge...no designer papers

messy and bright

Creative Craft Challenges...our theme this fortnight is re-cycling so i decided on a beautiful sunny bank holiday Monday to have a play....a messy play

Out came the distress inks, some cut n dry foam and lots of baby wipes

I have re-cycled a very old dictionary i bought from a national trust place in the lake district...the original price was 1/6d...i think it means 1 shilling and 6 pence but i was very very young when this sort of money was around so not too sure!!!

Well i did have fun but not too sure how my inky fingers will look tomorrow at work!!!

Please have a look at what the other DT members have made...they are such a clever lot and they have come up with some fantastic ideas..one of them even includes a pair of jeans!!!!

As this card is so "bright" it just has to be entered into the challenge over at peartree...colourful

Ok...now i have to cross my fingers that i have scheduled this right so it pops up at just the right time

lovely sunny card

I saw this main backing paper this morning and knew i had to use it today as it is such a sunny day. Over at trimcraft..Sandra has a colour challenge going on and the colours this month are pink and yellow...well this card is mainly pink and yellow so i have entered the challenge with it...Think i shall save it for my niece's birthday.

The sentiment is a craftwork cards one, brads from stash, smaller backing papers are a gift from Lou and please note i have used my sewing machine!!!! just to edge the edges...don't be looking too closely though folks it was a practise piece!!!!!! the image was a freebie from one of the mags recently..i love their lovely cheeky faces.

I will enter this into peartree designs challenge...colourful and obviously sketch Saturday as that is the sketch i have followed.

I am on a roll..i have made 2 more of these little note holders, completely different styles this time...have to say my favourite up til now is the black and white one

Hopefully these will make good little sellers when i do a craft fayre later in the year...ok off out into the sunshine to make more phone charms

Charming!!!

Good afternoon followers..hope you are all enjoying the sunshine...(assuming you have some)), it is a beautiful sunny day here in Derbyshire.

At the craft group last week we changed the theme to jewellery making !!! not really my thing but i do have a few bits and what i don't have the lovely girls do and they share...good girls they are.

well i decided to make a few phone charms (2nd picture) not brill but not bad either for my 1st attempt. Well when i got in i thought i would just pop on the the internet and see if i could find any inspirtation ...hence the 1st picture...what a difference i am really quite proud of them too. I am going to sit in the garden later and make some more but with different coloured beads.

Thought i may as well enter theminto Lexi's Creations ...anything but a card


Oh no just thought hope i don't get into the jewellery making or else i will definitely have to have a bigger craft room...mmmm wonder when the little one is moving out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
