  Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 4 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4^th of May 2009.

  
  

  We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with lots of Guest Designers who join us for a month at a time.

  
  

  We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers.

  
  

  So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone?

  
  

  Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop?

The challenge this week at CRAFT Challenges is......

A Stitch in Time/Use Stitching

So, anything bearing the above in mind will qualify. We can't wait to see what you come up with. 

So here is what I have done, a lovely little slider card, i love making these are they are so easy to make and this one is even suitable for a male so even better cos as you know I am not a fan of making male cards.

As you can see I didn't use a digi but I did choose some lovely papers (perfect for the men in our lives) from a pack designed by Jo.  My stitches aren't real they are rub-ons and for those of you like me that struggle with rub-ons I have a great tip...use a glitter girl embossing tool..perfect...

So what did I make ????

a lovely little card inspired by a SU demonstrator last week...plain and simple but lovely just the same

 I coloured my image with promarkers and for the 1st time ever I have "shiny hair"...I am thrilled.  Hopefully my colouring skills will improve after my promarker class in a couple of weeks time....

Good afternoon crafters

and a huge welcome to my blog - I thought I would share some cards I made last night, made mainly with SU products.  I got to use one of my favourite punches and stamp sets again....

Here is the 1st one inspired by a sketch

the 2nd one I just love the colour ways on this one - I have messed up with this one as I cut around the flowers and I shouldn't have - hey ho..

and the final one which is the one using my favourite punch and stamp set is....

I had a great creative evening and am quite proud of my efforts

Queen for a day .....

Oh heck, not a job I would enjoy I don't think there would be much time for crafting !!!!  And Phillip would get cross with me when the corgis got covered in glitter !!!!

Now this is our challenge over at CRAFT and you may interpret as you will..I used a digi image from Sassy Studios.  I love the image but not my colouring as for the 1st time I have used Neenah card and I am not impressed....

Do any of you know about such things, what have I done wrong as the colour just seems to have spread but not really blended!!!  I have used flexmarkers and promarkers and then for a change I decided to use plain card for the backing instead of patterned....

This is a scheduled post so have to dash as I am meeting a friend for coffee (no cake though).

CRAFT Challenge -

Good evening

I'd love to say thank crunchie it's Friday but I am working over-time tomorrow, but then am going out for a late lunch with my very good friend Michelle. so not all bad !!!

Right CRAFT challenge theme this week is recycled so we would like you to use something on your project that has been re-cycled.  I used some string that was tied around a pressie that my eldest daughter bought me a while ago.  I have also used a butterfly that was on a bookmark a friend made for me, the only reason I took it off was because i kept catching it on my book and was worried I would rip it.  The image is from Doodle Dragon's and I think it is so funny.  The sentiment stamp and punch are from Stampin up and if you look closely I have whizzed around the edges of my yellow cardstock with a tracing wheel to make little pinpricks....

Is it really Thursday already...????????

Well this week the challenge is "Mother's Day or make a female card"

I got to use a lovely digi from Bugaboo and it was a doddle to colour with my promarkers and flexmarkers.  The backing papers are some freebies from a mag, swirl, butterfly, bow and card-candi all from my vast stash...lol

Hope the snow has gone from wherever you are, I for one will be glad to see the back of it as I hate being cold!!!

2nd post of the week...this time to show you my card i made for the challenge over at CRAFT challenges.  The theme this week is an inspiration piccie and this is the digi I chose from Stamp Fairy - Lenny Flower. Isn't it just so cute

Coloured with my promarkers and flexmarkers, backing papers are from pink gems and i used one of my lush sentiment stamps from Stampin Up.  The ribbon was from my huge stash in the cupboard !!!

Right as this is a scheduled post I have to go and get dinner for my hubby and then I am off out to bingo with my daughter

Oooooops

No I haven't made a booboo - that's the name of my little digi for the CRAFT challenge this week.

Doodle Dragon's are one of our sponsors this week and I chose to use this digi "Partridge Oops"

Our theme as you can probably tell from my card is embossing...embossed cardstock and even embossed little stars.  I have used my new embossing folder from stampin up and i love it...Coloured with my promarkers and the little scrabble letters are some that I downloaded from the web

Anyhoo I shall be at work with 32 new hca's whilst you are reading this, trying to explain how to bed bath a patient....

Get Well Soon

Morning followers - our theme at CRAFT Challenges this week is "Get Well" now I don't know about you but I don't make many of these.  I chose a mad hatter digi from Rick St Dennis - Yes I know what you are thinking what an odd choice but I was thinking it would make the recipient chuckle and cheer them up !!!!  The card was from an idea over at Little Claire's blog to make a z-fold card and believe you me it's a doddle to make.

I used some backing papers I have had in a box for ages, computed generated sentiment (cut with my new die set from SU) and a small bow.  Of course I used my promarkers and flexmarkers to colour my image and the colours I chose were just perfect for the pastel theme.
