Blog Awards from Monique

I have been given these great blog awards from this amazing blogger friend..Monique... She makes so many lovely cards and projects and raises lots of money for various charities, she is so inspiratational. Huge enormous thanks my friend.

Now i am not going to bore you with anymore details about me but i will pass on these awards, i will not in anyway be offended if you decide not to accept as i know how time-consuming it can be to post them and then pass them on but i also know how great it feels to receive them.

I have made so many friends through blogland that i feel you should all have one, so if you are a follower of mine please take one of these awards and know that it is given with love and thanks. Without you followers i would never have carried on with my blog (lol me that said "no i haven't got time to blog"..) i love entering the challenges and finally learnt how to link properly and comment.

Creative Craft Challenges...anything but a card

Aha....so something different for you this week over at creative craft challenge blog..we don't want to see any cards but we do want to see anything else you have made this week. altered art!!!!!

don't know about altered art but a couple of weeks ago i went out with hubby for a walk and on the way back we called in at Chatsworth and had a delicious cream scone. The jam came in these 2 little pots so i re-cycled them in a different way!!!

I painted the tops with 2 coats of acrylic paint and then found some black peel-offs to decorate the jars. I am shortly going to be changing my craft room to a black and white trendy affair so thought these would be perfect for my charms etc

So next time you have a cream tea (i had one yesterday with my friend Elke but the jam came in paper pots) save the jars for your craft stash..

One of my favourtie stamps...

Yes another card with another LOTV stamp...did i mention that i just love them!!!! lol

i have used my promarkers again to colour the image, and the fiddly bits i got to try out my new fine tips(do i like them? would i recommend them?) yes i would they get into all the little spaces and crevices. I bought 3 more yesterday from the craft shop at Byrkely Garden Centre and at only 50p each...bargain.., i have used some of my mind's eye papers, they are just so scrummy and a lovely little press stud thing i bought from Derby Market a while ago.

I will be posting another one of these later today once i have finished it..so do pop back and have a peep

Just a quickie piccie for youuuuuuuuuu....

Over at trimcraft we arrange various swaps throughout the year and this month it was "goodie bags". One of my favourite swaps and my swop partner this time was Happy Bunny Cards...Natalie and she sent me some super scrummy goodies to play with and a lovely image.

I coloured the image in using my promarkers and then as i wasn't sure what to do with the hat pins i have pushed them through the image to make them look as though they are part of her tiara!!! I loved the little pearlised stars too!!!

No crafting!!!

no crafting for me this weekend...busy busy gardening, painting and cleaning yesterday..oooh but did get my hair cut which looks brill.

Then today hubby was off so we decided to go for a walk with our dogs somewhere new...The Roaches in Derbyshire

absolutely breathtaking scenery and the climb was certainly worth it







After we got back to the car we decided to treat ourselves to an icecream and one for the dogs too

Boys and their toys!!!

Guess what i have been playing with again....yep LOTV stamps...i love them...did i mention that!!! lol

I loved this one as soon as i saw it and HAD to have it

Coloured with my trusty promarkers and then used some new backing papers i bought when i went to the stamp magic show in Doncaster. The pack is called "Reflections" and is from Prima and they are so scrummy... the sentiments are also LOTV and absolute bargain as you get the 2 large stamps and 4 small ones

I have made this for a friends birthday later in the month (August) just remembered we're still in July!!!

I have returned...

from my lovely long weekend break with a fantastic friend called Wendy. We had a real chill out time in the peak district...no men....no kids and no dogs...just me and my mate. So hence the reason i haven't put anything on my blog...don't worry followers no way had i forgotten about you.





I have been busy with DT cards and made a little scrummy card with one of my new LOTV stamps. Coloured with my trusty promarkers, some pretty pink backing papers and finally a lovely sentiment and a flower to finish..

Teepee Cards

Good morning followers...where's the sunshine...do you have any cos we certainly don't here in Derbyshire.

Thought i would share a couple of teepee cards i made at craft club on Tuesday. Elke made an excellent tutor and if you pop over to the group blog you will see even more that the other girls made.

They really are quite easy to make once you get the hang of the folds, there are several tutorials out there in blogland and on youtube but mine came from the crafty pad..thanks girls

Creative Craft Challenges DT cards

Good morning followers...the challenge this week over at Creative Craft challenges is 3D it




We have a fab new sponsor "Love to Stamp" They gave us a choice of stamps to use and i chose this little cutie called "nice to meet you" from the Little Darlings range. As you can see i used lots of layers on my card, the backing papers were all from a recent paper swap over at trimcraft, the image i coloured with my trusty promarkers and am quite pleased with his jeans. The image has been slotted into photo corners that i punched with a punch i bought ages ago and had forgotten about (yeah well we all do it)...lol and finally added some of my new card candi from craft work cards.





Our 2nd sponsor is Sitchy Bear digital stamps and again they gave us a choice of their fabulous digis..i chose this one "Always the Bridesmaid"

I have used Kanban backing paper (well card) and lots of glitter (my friend Elke will hate this) lol. I printed the image out 3 times and then layered it up with lots of foam tape (cheap and cheerful from the poundshop but it works). I love how it turned out.

Now off to your craft desks and create!!! anything 3D doesn't have to be a card, we would love to see your lovely creations and the prizes are really fantastic..You gotta be in it to win it followers.

more baby cards

for the boys i think....

These papers are from one of my favourite sets from DCWV "nursery. I have both the boy and girl packs and i think they are so scrummy and sooooo touchy feely.

at least now i have a few baby cards ready for the new arrivals...think my friend's son and his girlfriend should be 1st..."Come on Charlotte we have waited long enough lol"

Goodie Bag card ....

Goodie bags at craft club again this week and this time it was my turn to provide them so i gave them lots of choices but the images, sentiments and backing papers were all from a yummy cd from polka doodles called "back to nature" i them gave them lots of flowers, brads, buttons to add on as they wished. If you pop over here you will see what the others came up with.

saw these photo corners in a mag and decided to have a play...i think they just finish the card off nicely.

Oh Baby....

I seem to know an awful lot of peeps that are expecting the pitter patter of tiny feet very soon, so at craft group after making cards with our goodie bags (will post about that later) i decided to make some baby cards

this one is all pink and girlie, i love the embellishments which i got from Mei at Meiflower. I made this for my daughter's really good friend April who knows she is having a little girl later this year. I thought the lovely little rocking horse charm finished it off perfectly...

Creative Craft Challenges DT card

Hopefully it is Tuesday morning and the new blog is up and running ...as many of you will know we have had many many problems with our challenge blog, for some unknown reason the posts were being deleted. We are not sure whether it was Mr Blogger to blame or some saddo with nothing better to do than to try and destroy our challenge blog. Well whichever it was, it wil take an awful lot to get rid of us.lol

Anyway here is my DT card and we got to work with another fab digi from Meljen Designs...if you have never seen these digis??????what are you waiting for they are fantastic. I used a frame over the digi which i coloured with promarkers and then added lots of glamour dust. The frame is from craftwork cards and another of my favourtie stash items.

I'm like a bus today...none and then 3 come along...well 2 in my case

ok this is the 2nd card i started at craft club last week, very sparkly magnolia with her princess dress on!!!

I used DCWV backing papers, borrowed my friend Elke's punch to make the fancy edges, image coloured with promarkers and glamour dust to make her sparkly

th moment you have all been waiting for ....lol

Well it's Sunday almost 4 o clock and i have still only just gotten round to taking piccies of my cards. Got a bit waylaid in Trimcraft, but bought some super goodies, then came back here and sat chatting with Elke about our new stash.

Never mind i'm here now so what have i been making, well one of them you will have to wait until Tuesday as that is for the Creative Craft Challenge Blog (oh yes we're still going) it will take more than deleted posts to stop us DT girlies.

Okay so this is the 1st one i started at craft club last week, DCWV backing papers, pearly gems, craftwork cards sentiment, ribbon from stash and the super cute image coloured with my promarkers. I have fixed her onto the ribbon using a quite thick foam pad so the card is 3 dimensional.

AWOL....!!!!

huge enormous apologies for not being around this week, been one of those when time just seems to fly by. It seems as though i have not had a minute to myself, until today and then just as i started to enjoy the peace and quiet my eldest daughter turned up. We decided over a cup of tea to pop over to Byrkely Garden Centre and what do you think they have there...well yes a craft shop and a very good one too. We also had a cream tea for 2 and it was absolutely delicious. We did both buy some plants for our gardens and i even bought a couple of Christmas presents!!!!

Tomorrow i am off to Trimcraft for a bit of a shopping spree with my friend Elke and then i shall show you some of the lovely cards i have made recently.

One final thing i need to let you know about...hello is anyone still with me..lol...over at "Creative Craft Challenges" we have had major problems with the challenge blog. At 1st we thought Mr Blogger was being a silly billy but now we are not so sure, maybe a low-life with nothing better to do but whatever ALL our posts since February 2010 have been deleted and that's a lot!!!!!! Not only is it all the DT's fabby work gone there is also all the great projects that the followers have taken time and trouble to produce.

Sandra one of the DT members is in the middle of creating another blog and hopefully this will be up and running very shortly, but until then please don't you forget about us ....song by Simple Minds . Once the new blog is up and running i will let you all know
